One Giant Leap

We loved Robert Burleigh’s book Flight so much that many classes have also been reading his book about the first moon landing called One Giant Leap. We learned how Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first people on the moon and how exciting (and scary) the trip was for them. It was interesting to us that their footprints are still on the moon and will be there for millions of years because there is no wind or rain to erode them! It was also hard for them to push the flag pole into the moon because it was like steel under the top layer of powdered dust.
