This week, EC and KG classes read the delightfully illustrated book, Crow by Leo Timmers. From this book we learn how important it is for us to be our unique selves and to be friendly to others.
We also watched the documentary of some very clever crows that have learned to crack nuts on a busy roadway in Japan. You can watch it here:
This week we’ve read the heartwarming story of a friendship between a dog and an elephant. Tarra & Bella by Carol Buckley tells the story of an Indian elephant that befriended a stray dog at an elephant sanctuary in the U.S. Their loyalty and dedication to each other teaches us to treat each other with kindness, no matter how different we are.
Unfortunately Bella, the dog, died late last year and Tarra has been mourning the loss of her friend. You can watch a video of the two friends below:
