This past short week of school, EC and KG classes read another of Anna Dewdney’s books, Llama Llama Mad at Mama. We not only loved the rhyming text and the message, but it gave us an opportunity to learn about llamas. We learned that a baby llama is called a cria and did a fun maze to help the cria find his mama which you can download here: http://www.llama-llocater.com/maze.html.

This week EC and KG classes read the clever rhyming book Roly Poly Pangolin by Anna Dewdney. Roly Poly pangolin is a delightful character that is scared of new things until he finds a friend just like himself.
We also learned about the endangered pangolin, that lives in Asia and Africa. There is a coloring page at the Savepangolins.org website that shows a baby pangolin riding on it’s mother’s back.
