Beatrice’s Dream by Karen Lynn Williams is an excellent story for reminding us to appreciate everything we have. This week Grade 3-5 students read this book about life for an orphaned teenager in Nairobi’s Kibera slum. We know that there are many people here in Tanzania living in similar (or worse) conditions. We agreed that we need to make sure we value the opportunities we have.
